No not swine, social. There has been an epidemic. A very sudden outbreak of "cool" and they are all joining together to create a supernova group to take over the streets. Once only small groups of individuals, this mentality of a pack nature surrounds us in everyday life and no matter where you turn you are faced with intimidation and this constant nervous feeling of having to watch your back. Beware of the fallout. What are you supposed to do? Sit back and watch the destruction? If you can't beat them join them? Do we wait it out? Or do we fight?
The other thing that is horrible is that people who you would think would see past this utter self indulgence don't and inevitablly befriend these people who have been sucked up to so much that they are driven to this ego boosting power trip and it is growing with a heavy momentum.
It makes me sick and sad that this is what an epidemic like this has done, death of culture and death of happiness all in one.
Just some thoughts:
1)people are shit
2)social hierachy and cliques are demeaning and should have been left in high school
3)when is it considered cool to be rude to people? and why are there no consequences for these people?
4)nobody has power over anyone else, so don't act like you do
5)how can you be happy projecting an unrealistic image of yourself?
6)your pack and the way you act are whack so get off our backs
